When you register or use Vanigan, we may collect:
- Phone number (used for OTP-based authentication)
- Display name (optional, provided during registration)
1.2 Location Data
We collect real-time location data to provide our core service:
- For Customers: Your location is used to discover nearby vendors within your chosen discovery radius. Location data is processed in real-time and is not stored permanently.
- For Vendors: Your location is broadcast to nearby customers while your business session is active. Location broadcasting stops immediately when you end your session.
1.3 Audio Recordings
Vendors may record voice announcements (up to 60 seconds) to inform customers about their products. These recordings are:
- Stored securely in Firebase Cloud Storage
- Accessible only to customers within discovery range
- Deletable at any time by the vendor
1.4 Usage Data
We may collect non-personal data such as app interaction patterns, session duration, and device information to improve our services.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To authenticate your identity via phone number verification
- To connect customers with nearby vendors in real-time
- To enable voice announcements from vendors to customers
- To manage your favorites and preferences
- To improve and optimize the application experience
- To send service-related notifications
3. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell your personal information. We may share limited data in the following cases:
- Between Users: Vendor names, locations, and voice announcements are shared with nearby customers during active sessions.
- Service Providers: We use Firebase (Google) for authentication, database, and storage services. Their privacy policies apply to data processed on their infrastructure.
- Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights and safety.
4. Data Storage and Security
- Data is stored on Firebase servers (Google Cloud Platform) with industry-standard encryption.
- Vendor location data is only retained while a business session is active and is marked inactive upon session end.
- Voice recordings are stored until explicitly deleted by the vendor.
- We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data.
5. Your Rights and Choices
- Location: You can disable location permissions at any time through your device settings. Note that the app requires location to function.
- Voice Recordings: Vendors can delete their recordings at any time from the dashboard.
- Account Deletion: You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us.
- Notifications: You can manage notification preferences through your device settings.
6. Children's Privacy
Vanigan is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have collected data from a child, please contact us immediately.

Our app integrates with the following third-party services:
- Firebase Authentication — for phone number verification
- Firebase Realtime Database — for real-time data synchronization
